About the Artist

Wistful Vista Art storefront located in Relics Antique Mall

     MY "BRICK AND MORTAR" studio and gallery, Wistful Vista Art is based in Springfield Missouri and located inside Relics Antique Mall - one of the largest antique malls in the country. I spend much of my time creating art in this studio but if you are ever in town and thinking of stopping by, contact me first to make sure I'm in the studio.

     I have a unique blend of training and performance experience, including a degree from Indiana University in Commercial Art, a permanent teacher's certification from New York state, and over 40 years of stage experience as a performer. I also published Chalk Illustrated, the world's only magazine for stage chalk artists, for three years. 

     Over the years I have worked in oils, watercolors, acrylics and inks. Painting with pastels is my current favorite. Currently, I am expanding my focus on gallery work, producing both original artwork and limited edition prints. This includes custom work and commissions such as Portraits, Landscapes, Bible themes, Americana and Rustique (barns, mills, covered bridges, etc.), Churches, Pets and more. And I always appreciate your patronage. As someone once said, "Please support living artists. The dead ones don't need it."
